Lianne Gough - Biography

Painter Lianne Gough was born in 1954 in Perth, Western Australia and was educated in Perth, Sydney, Chicago (USA) and Canberra.

Lianne attained a Diploma of Art and Design from the Gordon Institute in 1976, and studied as a postgraduate at the New York Studio School in 1976 on an Arts Council Scholarship.

While self employed full time 1978-1996, she continued to produce drawings, paintings and photographs.

The theatre also interests Lianne. 1996-2001 she worked as Set Designer/builder and Producer for Geelong theatrical companies.

Lianne has had several solo and joint exhibitions and won many awards during her career. She has paintings in private collections in Australia, England and New Zealand. Her portrait of Noel Fidge was acquired by the Gordon Foundation for it’s collection in 2004.
